Care and
Nurturing Among the People of POP
A church is not the walls that create the building,
but the people that build our Christian Family. Prince
of Peace is truly a Christian family in every sense of
the word. Based on the fellowship activities
above, its easy to see how we have fun and get to know
one another. But, it's what we do for one another
in our times of need, sharing the joys and concerns of
our everyday lives, and when it might be easier to allow
someone else to be supportive that make us a family.
Prayer is central to our family - asking for God's
guidance and understanding. But we provide care for one
another in a variety of ways:
| Prayer
Chain |
Sharing Joys &
Concerns |
| Deacon
Shepherd network |
Outreach to visitors |
| Support at
times of loss and hospitalization |

FELLOWSHIP IN THE
CHURCH
CHURCH PICNIC
– be sure to mark your calendar for June 12!
We will be having a picnic after church.
Fried chicken, drinks and paper products will be
provided; please bring a dish to share.
If you have any outside games you’d like to
play, please bring them and also a lawn chair. It is Pentecost Sunday so wear red and dress comfortably as
we will be outdoors!
The place – Slate Run Metro Park.
Watch the bulletins for more info.
Thanks to all who helped and attended our Mexican Foods
fundraiser on May 15, following worship.
We were able to contribute to the church
‘general’ fund and enjoy tacos, refried beans, etc.
Our next meal following worship will be in July.
We’re still in need of people to sign up for snacks for
Coffee Hour this summer.
Please see the signup list on the bulletin board
inside the front door.
Watch your bulletin for upcoming dates for Picnic at
the Pops, Clippers baseball and a play at Schiller Park.

The children’s items include Biblical stories and
stories about Jesus.
They are animated and enjoyable, while teaching
about the Bible.
The adult section include stories about Jesus,
the Gospel of Matthew and other spiritual stories.
We also have some new books, including a wonderful Bible
Atlas. Stop
by and select something from your ever growing Church
Library! If
you have books to donate, you may leave them on the
